Greetings from Inch Island

Hello. Here we are on Inch Island, Donegal. It is early Janurary 2020 and we have 3-4 months to complete a community co-produced digital heritage exhibition for the CINE project.

Guy Le Jeune, the project facilitator for Donegal County Museum has explored and completed some initial research. Below are some images of the the whirlwind tour of some of the islands amazing sites.

I grew up in the nearby city of Derry and have memories of being on Inch Island at various times and have often walked the loop at the wildfowl reserve. However, it is often the case with your local area that you don’t appreciate what is in front of your eyes.

Below are some pictures of the amazing sites we visited. Castles, forts, ancient stones, churches, beaches and outstanding natural beauty.
